Inspiration : Rémy Allamand’s work is inspired by ancient ecological construction techniques. He uses only natural materials: clay-lime-hemp to create his sculptures. Many of his sculptures are inspired by religious art, the architecture of temples and places of worship, etc. He calls them Relics like little treasures from the past.
Manufacture: These sculptures are not fired in a traditional kiln like ceramics. The mixture is raw but stabilized in order to limit the ecological impact. The sculptures are covered several times with a lime plaster and polished for a long time in order to solidify the material and give it its final satin appearance. A plant-based wax is applied in the last layer to protect the works.
