Inspiration: This sculpture is freely inspired by the pagure, a totemic or spiritual animal that carries a powerful message of evolution and balance. Each shell represents a life stage or a temporary “me”. Once it becomes too narrow, the pagure must look for another one, illustrating the need to get out of its comfort zone to evolve. Althoughthe pagure does not build its own shell, it is often seen as a nomadic and opportunistic creature, but itreflects a philosophy of life based on material detachment: the fact of moving forward without being excessively attached to possessions or places.
